Welcome to the SmartRide Transportation Services website (“Website”), which connects you with your transportation community and related transportation services.


By accessing or using the SmartRide Transportation Services website (smartridets.com)  Website, or booking transportation services, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use, whether or not you are a registered member.


SmartRide Transportation Services reserves the right to change or modify these Terms at any time without notice. Continued use of the Website constitutes acceptance of those changes.


PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY AS THEY CONTAIN IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, REMEDIES, AND OBLIGATIONS.





Your use of the Website, and any disputes arising from it, are subject to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use.


SmartRide Transportation Services may revise these Terms or the Privacy Policy at any time. Users are encouraged to review these policies periodically.

Payment options must be designated, agreed to, and consistently followed.


Accepted payment methods:
• Zelle
• Venmo
• PayPal
• Cash App
• Cash





Payment for school transportation services is due each week on Saturday for the upcoming week of service.


Failure to submit payment may result in suspension of transportation services or loss of the student’s reserved seat.





A deposit is required at booking for all special transportation services.


Full payment must be received at least two weeks prior to the scheduled event. Failure to pay may result in cancellation of the reservation.





When a passenger fails to appear at the designated pickup location without prior notice, the reservation may be considered fulfilled and payment may be forfeited.





If a rider fails to appear for a scheduled pickup without prior notice on two consecutive days, SmartRide may place transportation services on hold for the remainder of that week.


Transportation may resume after confirmation from the parent that the rider will resume service the following week.


Repeated violations may result in longer suspensions or termination of services.





Despite SmartRide’s commitment to punctual service, delays may occur due to traffic, weather conditions, accidents, mechanical issues, driver illness, or other unforeseen events.


SmartRide Transportation Services will make every reasonable effort to transport the student safely and as agreed.


Parents or guardians will be notified if any unforeseen circumstances arise that impact scheduled service.




  

The SmartRide driver is the authority responsible for safety inside the vehicle.


Students must remain seated, follow driver instructions, avoid distracting the driver, and behave respectfully.


Unsafe conduct may result in suspension or termination of transportation services.





Students will only be released to individuals authorized by the parent or guardian.


SmartRide may request government‑issued identification before releasing a student.


If an unauthorized person attempts pickup, the student will not be released until authorization is confirmed.





SmartRide vehicles may use GPS tracking systems and safety cameras.


These systems are used for safety monitoring, driver accountability, accident documentation, and operational purposes.


Use of SmartRide services constitutes consent to such monitoring.





SmartRide Transportation Services complies with Florida Statute 39.201 regarding mandatory reporting of suspected child abuse or neglect.

Transportation involves inherent risks such as accidents or roadway hazards. Passengers understand that transportation by motor vehicle involves risks that may include:


• Traffic accidents
• Mechanical failures
• Weather conditions
• Road hazards
• Actions of other drivers


By using SmartRide services, passengers agree to release SmartRide Transportation Services from liability for injuries arising from ordinary negligence except where prohibited by law.


Release of Liability- To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, passengers and parents or legal guardians agree to release, waive, and hold harmless SmartRide Transportation Services, its owners, employees, contractors, and drivers from liability for injuries, damages, or losses arising from participation in transportation services.


This release applies to claims resulting from ordinary negligence associated with transportation services.


Under Florida law, liability waivers can limit claims arising from ordinary negligence when the waiver is clear and voluntarily accepted.


Third-Party Liability- In the event of an accident caused by a third party (such as another driver), liability may rest with the responsible party.


Passengers may have the right to pursue claims against third-party individuals or entities responsible for the accident.





SmartRide Transportation Services shall not be liable for damages caused by traffic delays, weather conditions, mechanical issues, third‑party drivers, or other circumstances beyond the company’s control.





SmartRide Transportation Services reserves the right to modify these policies at any time.


Continued use of SmartRide services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
